I hear you! Personally I decided long ago to only care what others think/say IF they are someone I personally know or admire, and even then if it doesn't pass the "logic" test (is it even rational/logical?) I beg to differ & carry on, unless of course it is relevant to their personal situation & not mine 🤷🏾♀️
I have usually done the "decision tree" as a spreadsheet, whether it is a $$ based one, or even packing for a complex holiday (driving, back country overnights, visiting family, camping) - it definitely clarifies the options even it, as your "expert" found out, you take a less favoured option, understanding your choice i.e. sometimes the weighting of one positive thing overwhelms some of the negatives.
Hi Jim this is a cartoon I remember seeing ages ago I think in the New Yorker, I've just googled a description of it and grabbed it from a website somewhere. thanks for asking!
I've found only allowing comments from paying subscribers is useful for improving quality and humanity in comment sections. And Meta deserve so so much challenging. https://thespinoff.co.nz/internet/21-08-2024/a-soul-destroying-attempt-to-report-scam-facebook-ads?fbclid=IwY2xjawEyPDhleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHe4RY5eyA59NrVI1R5So_-RjD1wtHfFpf76nuK8JLgyV6nos0ohcJ-bHfA_aem_j7a4OjKQiqipsZcANYzXIw

Is there any chance of getting a copy of the cartoon in your article so I can keep it and possibly quote it?
