As for the paua "incident" - thanks for sharing, & BTW sunlight soap is my go-to for cleaning just about everything except the toilet!
I can truly say that particular kitchen calamity has never before happened to me or anyone I know. I do hope those inky green creatures were delicious after that curtain encounter. I wonder if that was an evolutionary tool to stop us eating them. I had to look up the Futurist thing and it sounds like I am definitely a possible audience.
