ππ Loved this! The explanations as to WHY you are reading things was a perfect intro to each book (NB: if you already had the library book in order to be able to spill something on it, weren't you already going to read itβοΈ Or maybe "the wife" took it out π€·) & David Baldacci is a long time favourite so it's nice when people you admire from afar for their work turn out to be worthy of real life π« as well.
Just to say, I immediately went to my library & found 2 of your books - one I put on HOLD, & the other was available to borrow, so thanks ππ Just the fiction ones for now as the world seems to be full of gloomy analysis of "what went wrong" "what is going wrong" "is this the end of the US as a democracy & what will that mean for the rest of the world" etc. - need some of that entertainment as escapism! π
I loved Priyaβs book and I took away so much from it for my food walks so I do hope you find your way back to completing it. Youβve probably already read it but might I recommend Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss. A masterclass on negotiation which might also come in hand my for your public speaking :)
Great for drawing attention to at least a couple of books, which sound very interesting to me and that I would probably never have discovered without your review. So thank you.

Love these reviews, bit disturbed by the tagline implying that summer is already over.
Thanks for the heads up on reading suggestions Jesse. Always on the hunt for the next read and couple of goodies here.

This is amazing!
"How to know a person" is full of wisdom. Got me thinking that Trump is a result of increasing numbers of lonely people.
Loved Tom Lake! Strangely read it while I'd ruptured my Achilles... so that added another level to the story for me and was a nice twist.
